The Iberostar Grand Hotel Mencey is one of the best 5-star hotels on the island. When we stayed at the hotel, there was a film crew for the fifth Bourne film. We were even able to photograph Matt Damon’s chef preparing lunch for that day.

The back of the hotel didn’t feel like a hotel at all, but more like somewhere people go to rest and to escape from their problems... 😊 There is a beautiful garden at the back of the exterior courtyard where you can hold functions on the breath-taking terrace.

The hotel has a large number of multi-purpose rooms, like for cocktails or a coffee break. There are the Martín González rooms, the Anaga room and a white lounge with paintings of banana trees and mirrors.

Final Comments from the Authors of Iberostar Grand Hotel Mencey

We had obviously already heard about the good reputation of this emblematic hotel in the capital of Tenerife. However, it was a real pleasure to stay there. I particularly loved the back garden, where there was an atmosphere of complete relaxation. The rooms seemed discreet and, at the same time, elegant. It was a perfect balance of design and functionality.

It was a pleasure to visit the Iberostar Grand Hotel Mencey not once, but twice. We had the added bonus of bumping into the production team of Bourne V, who were all really friendly. The question is: who will you be lucky enough to meet when you stay at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Mencey?
