Hotel Bahia Principe Costa Adeje
...Impressive Location with Fantastic Views

Bahia Principe Costa Adeje and Bahia Principe Tenerife are located on the top of a cliff and are surrounded on both sides by two coves where you can swim, but they are rocky and getting to them is complicated. However, if you stay at the Bahía Príncipe Resort (in any of both hotels) you will not need to worry about getting to the coves, because there are various swimming pools within the premises of the resort, one of which has spectacular views of the Atlantic in general and the coves in particular.

Tenerife Travel Secret

Like so many other hotels on the island, Bahía del Príncipe Resort takes its commitment to the environment seriously and tries to care for and protect the area around it. For that reason they are strict about recycling waste and use neutral antibacterial products and disinfectants which are not harmful to the environment. The Resort is self-sufficient for 40% of its energy requirements, having put in place solar panels and having their own desalination plant where they produce drinking water. Finally, but no less importantly, they collaborate with the Adeje Council in keeping the sea beds in the area clean.

Communal Areas at the Bahia Principe Costa Adeje

Usually all week-long reservations include all the food and drink on the buffet as well as three à la carte dinners at any of the themed restaurants in the resort.

At the Mirador Restaurant you will have a wide buffet of international cuisine at your disposal with themed nights for different countries. They serve breakfast, lunch and a buffet-style dinner with typical international dishes.

At the Vistamar Restaurant you will be able to delight your palate with Canary Island cuisine (buffet and an ample menu) in a typically naval environment.

At the Casa Bonita Restaurant you will taste typical and well-known Spanish specialities, like paella valenciana, hot and cold tapas, etc. with a wide buffet and a varied menu.

Italian food will be prepared and served by Italian chefs at the Portofino Restaurant.

Being an ‘all-inclusive’ hotel, all drinks are included in your reservation. Therefore you shouldn’t hesitate to visit and enjoy any one of the three bars in the hotel: in the hotel lobby (where you can enjoy live music until 11pm), at the pool, and at the ‘El Puertito’ Snack Bar which serves fast food and is open until 11pm.

There are three swimming pools with a large hammock area surrounded by leafy gardens. In the swimming pools you will be able to enjoy the views (as is the case in the infinity pool), pleasant water temperatures all year round (because they are heated), and some of the best games at the children’s pool.

Some of the pool activities which take place are an introduction to diving, aquasplash and general games. And don’t forget the wide variety of activities during the day, unlimited drinks at the pool bar (international drinks and the wine list not included) and a towel exchange (deposit required).

Getting There

The hotel Bahia Principe Costa Adeje is in the prestigious area of Costa Adeje in the Playa Paraíso Urbanisation, on Calle Idafe. It has beautiful views of the Atlantic and the island of La Gomera.

Tenerife Travel Secret

So you don’t come to the wrong conclusion, the resort is not located in the typical hotel area in Costa Adeje (it is 15km from Playa de las Américas). It is in a separate area and it has a special charm, so we recommend that you hire a car if you plan to visit other locations on the island or look up the timetables and routes for the buses which frequently pass nearby the hotel

To get to the Playa Paraíso Urbanisation you should take the road called ‘El Puertito’.

The Bahía Príncipe Resort is located just 30 minutes from the South airport and 10 minutes from Playa de las Américas.

I particularly loved the Bahía Príncipe Costa Adeje because of the spectacular views of the cove at the side of the hotel from the pool. I think I could spend many hours there, being toasted by the sun and having a nice refreshing juice J
